A Reveiw of 2010

I want to wish my friends a very Happy and Healthy New Year!  I hope that 2011 will be great for you and give you many wonderful memories.

The following is a review of 2010:

January: A year ago, I entered my name in a contest held by Angela over at Scrap Journal of Angela H in which she was giving away The Paper Gator.  Never did I think I would win this, but I did!  Thanks, Angela!  Also,  I created a mini album from tp rolls and melted plastic shopping bags inspired by Laura Denison at FollowThePaperTrail.

February:  This month I was making plans for my first Blogaversary Party.    I was also putting together some Blog Candy to entice more followers to my blog.  I celebrated the Blogaversary on Feb 12th and 13th and the winner of my blog candy was Dawn Edwards.   I also became a Design Team member at Creative Scrapbooking Divas of which I'm still DT.  I was also involved in my very first mini album swap in which I received a gorgeous album from Dawn over at Life on the Scrap Beach.

March:  This month saw me getting involved in the Project 12 challenges at CSD, completing another mini for the TWS Mini Album Swap over at Life on the Scrap Beach, receiving a mini album kit, getting involved in the Crop Challenge at the same site, and probably one of the best things that I've done was to join YouTube!  It's been so wonderful sharing my vids on YT and have so many subscribers who appreciate my creations.

April:  We saw snow (about 2") after having beautiful spring-like, almost summer weather!  I also created a few mini albums and created more layouts for CSD.  I also attended the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Manchester, NH.  And...I celebrated a birthday!

May:  Kind of quiet this month--more swapping of mini's over at Life on the Scrap Beach, celebrated Valerie and Jaclyn's birthdays and just made more layouts for challenges over at CSD

June:  CSD had their first Online Crop which was a success.  I also participated in the "Where Bloggers Create" blog party hosted by Karen Valentine over at My Desert Cottage.  I got 82 comments---the most on any of my previous posts!  My blog was also featured on Letter's and Lace--a blog owned by a fellow CSDer, Lisa West.  I also became a sorority sister over at "Some Days are Diamonds" blog.   This month also saw me attending the Mad Hatter Tea Party hosted by Vanessa over at "A Fanciful Twist"--so much fun and so many wonderful comments left on my blog.

July:  This was a quiet month as we got more involved in summer activities---camping, going to the beach, cookouts, etc.  I did do some scrapping, but not much.

August:  Another very quiet month!  I started my "Make n Take Mondays" this month.

September:  I was involved in the CSD Blog Hop, created some Halloween projects and created a couple of mini albums.

October:  I attended another blog hop hosted by the incredible Vanessa Valencia over at A Fanciful Twist --this one with a haunted Halloween tale.  I received 32 comments and some new followers as of this month.   I also was creating like crazy for a Christmas Craft Fair held at our local hospital.  I didn't do very well at the fair, but several people picked up my business cards, including a woman who was opening up a craft shop in town.

November:  I rented a table at the Alfred Elementary School for their annual Christmas craft fair.  I made a total of $60 over 2 days.  I thought I would've done so much better.  I did get two special orders for canvas and paperbag albums.  I also received word from Donna about her store opening the week before Christmas so I brought to the store whatever wasn't sold at the craft fair.   I celebrated a quiet Thanksgiving at home because I had to work that day.

December:   Busy working on two special order mini albums--one for a boy and the other a girl.  Also doing the usual Christmas prep--looking for a tree, decorating the house, baking, creating gifts, shopping, and working!  I also was involved in another mini album swap through Life on the Scrap Beach.  At this time, I currently have 162 followers on this blog, have uploaded 33 videos on YouTube and have 95 subscribers on You Tube!!

My husband and I have had our ups and downs this past year, but it hasn't been that bad at all.  I'm hoping for a healthy and happy 2011 and wish the same for you as well.   And...

if I've never mentioned how grateful I am for all of you, I apologize.  I want to thank every one of you who follow my blog and those of you who comment on a regular basis.  Without my followers and the wonderful comments you leave on my blog, I doubt I would've kept up with it.  You are an inspiration to me and I'm blessed to have you in my life.   Thank you again!  Happy New Year!
