An Altered Pringles (as in chips) Can!

I'm joining in on First Wednesday of the Month Party over at Cottage Paper Crafts, part of Etsy Cottage Style found here: Cottage Paper Crafts.   This party is dedicated to all of us who love to create with paper.

A month ago, I created an altered Pringles can for a swap over at Your Paper Pantry for the "Populart" group.  I loved making this for Emma.   So, this is perfect to share over at Cottage Paper Crafts.
I used paper from the Die Cuts With A View paper pack The Primrose Stack.  I used a border punch to cut a trim for the top and bottom of the can.   I also used flat faux pearls to hide the raw edge of the border, plus it dressed it up as well.  The script paper is from Recollections and over that is a scrap piece of paper I had on hand.  Other layers I used was a doily with a label that reads "Shabby" (Emma loves the shabby chic look), flowers, leaves, a vintage key from K&Co., an ephemera ticket, bling flourishes and a butterfly.

The above two photos show the cover.   I used a large crystal 'knob' along with an assortment of flowers, a crystal beaded stem along with a punched 3D butterfly that is actually 'flying above' the can.  I attached it to wire so it 'floats' in the air.   I also used a Tim Holtz adagio ticket.

These pictures show the back of the can.  I wanted to hide the seam of where the papers meet in the back so I punched this piece using the same punch as I did for the top and bottom of the can.  I inked the edges (along with the other papers) to give it that vintage look.   The scrap of paper which is the layer with the label "shabby" on it is the 'corset' for this can.   I saw this on line and had to use the idea.

Here are some close ups of the front showing the layers of flowers and the butterflies I added for a whimsical touch.  I hope my partner enjoys her can.    Oh, we had to fill it with lots of goodies, but I didn't take pictures of those items.

Thanks for stopping by!   I'll be sharing more creations later.

Hi Lori!
First don't forget to join the Cottage Paper Craft Party at ECS
every first Wed. of the Month, But what I really wanted to explain is that Cottage means whatever your Cottage Style is. My house looks like a cabin..log..but...siding. Inside is what I call cottage victorian/country/retro..in other words...lots of stuff on walls and shelves and tables from the turn of the century to 60's combined with furniture from the victorian queen anne to country farm house to 1950 sofa, so...That's eclectic
THere are others who have modern condos filled with everything from 18th century antiques to mid-century modern When it's Etsy Cottage Style it's not just the little english tudor with a lovely cottage garden. Welcome to the modern cottage style.
