An Elegant Pine Cone style Ornament

Do you need a teacher's gift? Are you looking for something special for a friend, a neighbor or need extra gifts for a last minute gift? Then I believe this craft would be perfect! I'm linking with Blue Eyed Blessings Day 3 of the Holly Bloggy Christmas Bash. Today's theme is Christmas Crafts. So I thought I'd show you how to make a Pine Cone Ornament. Have Fun!

I made this ornament for a swap about a month ago and got rave reviews for it. It's fairly simple once you get going, but can be a bit time-consuming. I'd say it took me about 2 hours, maybe 3, from start to finish. Click HERE for step by step instructions including photos of each step. Thanks for looking!

Embellish the top with greenery, berries, faux pearl, etc.

If you have any questions, just post.

Hi! I am WAY behind in making my rounds to visit everyone who's left comments on my blog recently. Just had my daughter's preschool holiday party so now I finally have a little bit more time. Thanks for visiting and taking a look at my tree:) I LOVE this ornament!!! It sounds like a lot of work, but simple and something I could do in front of the TV. Plus since I have most of the supplies on hand, it's also an inexpensive ornament to make. I think I'm going to try my hand at it and give them to our extended family this year. I love the embellishements!

Hi Lori! This is amazing. I'm coming from Craftaholics, and I actually like the white one even more. What a beautiful ornament! Wish I had the time. Nice to meet you!

I do remember this ornament from some time back. It's very pretty. There is a Trash to Treasures program here at the women's shelter in the Phillipino Embassy and they teach the ladies how to make orgami ornaments, etc. I save magazines and fliers for the cause. I love the story behind your egg ornament. I still can't believe it's survived all these years. My dad brought back dolls from Vietnam that I had stored in a box -- mice got to them and ate their little eggshell faces. I was very upset about that as I didn't even really realize what they were made from. Blessings to you and yours this holiday soon. Love seeing all your crafts and creations. :) Tammy
