The Design Team at Creative Scrapbooking Divas is having a Blog Hop on September 25th and 26th. Each DT member will be posting either a Halloween or Fall tutorial. You will have until September 28th to post your creations on the individual blogs as well as on CSD for a chance to win some Blog Candy! That's right! Who doesn't like candy, especially candy that includes some great scrapbooking goodies! I'll be posting a picture of the blog candy within the next couple of days, so do stop by and take a look. I hope you'll join me and the other great gals on the CSD Design Team for some great fun. Oh, I almost forgot. You can earn "tickets" ahead of time by posting this event on your own blog and encouraging your followers to attend as well. Just copy and paste this image to your blog with the CSD addy: http://divascreativas.ning.com/. Please go to Creative Scrapbooking Divas site for more details.
Oh, and did I mention that I'll have a separate RAK for anyone who join CSD and also completes my tutorial and posts it on this blog? I'll post that in a few days as well.
So mark your calendars for September 25th and 26th. I hope to see you there, my friends!
Wishing you a wonderful day!

A Few More Layouts to Share....
I created these layouts for some challenges over at Creative Scrapbooking Divas. Now that they're done, I feel as though I need to add more 'oomph' to them. I think I'm going to remove the "Relax" title and add Diamond Glaze to them to create a glossy, watery effect. This layout was for the "Going in Circles" challenge. The criteria was to use at least 10 circles.
Alecia's challenge was "Chattin' and Campin'". The Campfire layout needs something too. The criteria for the camping layout was to use orange and the photos had to have something with sharing a conversation around the campfire. Any ideas on what you would add to this layout?

This layout is for my new Book of Me Challenge at CSD. This is the 7th challenge and the theme is to create a layout on your Most Prized Possession. This is mine:

I was 9 years old when I received this desk on Christmas. It was made by my father. It has been "home" to many objects over the years. Currently it sits in Zachery's room as a 'dust collector'. I will always treasure this desk. I used Cosmo Cricket Paper (which has to be about 5 years old now!).
The next layout is of my daughter, Valerie, when she was almost 2. She's now 25. Boy, how time flies! This is one of my challenges in which you have to use fabric and/or felt on your layout and it has to be prominent. The background is predominantly fabric on both sides and the flowers surrounding the photos are made of felt.
Well, I hope you find some insipiration here. If you want to join in on the challenges, stop on over to Creative Scrapbooking Divas!
One more announcement that I'll share: I plan on doing my own mini challenges on this blog every Monday. The name of it will be: Make N Take Mondays. I plan on putting up the first make n take this coming Monday, the 23rd. I hope you'll stop by and check it out!
Wishing all of you a wonderful day!

Do You Need Inspiration?
Yesterday, I created this layout for my new challenge at Creative Scrapbooking Divas. My challenge is for all participants to create a layout or card using NON-CHRISTMAS colors other than white. I used pink, blue and off-white for my layout. These are my daughters Valerie and Jaclyn opening their stockings from Christmas 2006. I drew my color combo from the pink of their Princess Santa hats and the blue of my daughter's pj bottoms.
Luisa's Challenge: Use Your Stash
Alecia's Challenges: Scavenger Hunt Game and
Mix Your Fonts and No Patterned Paper Challenge
Sandy's Challenge: Recycled Card Challenge
I hope you stop by Creative Scrapbooking Divas and join in on the fun. I'll be organizing a Blog Hop with some Blog Candy to one lucky winner as well that will happen in August.
Wishing you a Wonderful Wednesday!
It's a simple layout. I cut a poinsettia from another piece of patterned paper and added a pink bling flower for the center. The journaling is around the margin of the pink striped paper.
If you're looking for more inspiration, challenges and games, stop on over to Creative Scrapbooking Divas. This is what's happening over there right now:
Lori's Challenges: Celebrate the Red, White and Blue and
Susan's Challenge: Shout, Shout

New Layouts to Share and Family Fun!
I've got 2 layouts to share with you today. These were for a challenge over at Creative Scrapbooking Divas for the Project 12 Group. The sketches provided were from Scrapbooks and Cards Today, I believe. Here is the one I created for the month of May:
I used papers from Basic Grey (can't remember the line); assorted flowers; bling; the scalloped edge paper is from Webster's and chipboard (title) which I received in a swap but don't know the manufacturer.
And here is the layout for June:
The June layout is an assortment of papers that I felt went well together and again, I don't know the names of the manufacturers. Flowers, bling, and the title is created from Thickers letters. I love how these odd assortment of papers came together.
As far as Family Fun went----my husband took my daughter and I out to lunch yesterday to Fisherman's Catch in Wells Harbor (Maine). I got a lobster roll (my husband did too!) and Jackie got a Fried Haddock Sandwich. The food was so delicious!! We then drove to the water's edge to eat and then to take a walk.
Where we started! (The harbor is to the right and the benches where we were sitting). It was such a gorgeous day! I also took a picture of these strange flowers by a rustic fence:

Here's the view from where we were sitting--at least part of the view
Looking to my right:
And here I am, sitting on a bench (obviously!) with the harbor behind me.
We found this path around the bend and decided to walk it wondering where it might lead:
A Tuberose flower (I think!)--the dunes were loaded with these:
The path followed the Marsh away from the Harbor
We then found this tiny path leading off from the main path---
Did I ever tell you that I LOVE to follow paths, wondering what I might find?
We came out to a field:
which happened to come out to:
And a few other odd ball photos that caught my eye:
I hope you enjoyed my family day photos and my layouts too! Wishing all of you a wonderful Wednesday!

Creative Scrapbooking Divas OnLine Crop has started!!
If any of you are interested in doing an online crop this weekend, I invite you to stop over to CSD for lots of fun and inspiration! I will be doing a layout challenge on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.; another one at 3:30 p.m. that is a Book of Me question along with a challenge. I'll be drawing a name from all participants and sending out a nice RAK valued at $10.00. And at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning, I'll be doing a tutorial.
Every hour on the 1/2 hour starting at 8:30 Saturday morning, other DT's will be providing games, challenges and tutorials and offering RAK's to some lucky winners.
Now you don't have to have your challenges completed by Sunday at the close of the crop. All entries must be submitted by Tuesday, June 8th. On Thursday, winners of the challenges and games will be announced and posted on the CSD main page.
I believe that one lucky participant will win the chance to be the guest DT for a month! So, if anyone is looking for a short-term DT position, then join our crop, have fun and you just might get your chance!!
I hope to see you there! Here's the link: Creative Scrapbooking Divas Online Crop.

What a busy week!
Have you ever had one of those weeks in which time flew by and you don't know what you did? Well, that's the week I had. It just flew by but I don't have a clue as to what I was doing! I know we had some HOT weather and today, Thank God, it has cooled down. I've been working my usual schedule, yet it seems as though I've worked the last 6 days straight! I've also been working on the mini for Rhonda (which is late) and it's nearly finished. My husband and I planted some flowers and I've just been running around during my 'free' time to do errands. I feel horrible that I've neglected my blog--that's just not like me to do that.
So onto other stuff: As some of you may already know, I'm one of the Admin DT's over at Creative Scrapbooking Divas. I would like to extend an invitation to you gals to come on over and check it out. We are now having a DT call and I know that many of you just might want to try out for the position. Here's the link with all the info: Scrapbook Calls.
I hope to see some of you as a fellow DTer! Good Luck!
I'm also sooooo busy finishing up a mini for Rhonda over at Life on the Scrap Beach. I should be finished with it today and have it mailed it out tomorrow. So much to do, so little time! Well, as always, I'm off to do some cleaning and errands.
Wishing all of you a great day!

Just another Layout to Share
I thought I'd share a layout that I just recently created for the Project 12 Event over at Creative Scrapbooking Divas. The sketch I used is from PageMaps. Not all of us who are doing this are using the sketches provided. I decided to because I'm inundated with projects and just didn't want to have to think. Enjoy!I have an Easter min book completed but will share tomorrow. I'm heading out to work.
Have a great day, everyone!

So Many Projects (to do), So Little Time
I am so inundated with scrapping projects that I find myself trying to complete at least 5 projects at a time. It's the result of belonging to too many groups (don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining) and wanting to do all the projects and events suggested because they look fun and interesting.
One website I belong to, and am a Design Team member of, is Creative Scrapbooking Divas. Just recently we started a new group "A Book of Me" which I lead. The first week I asked the members to create an intro/dedication page as the beginning of their albums. So far, I've got quite a few gals that have uploaded their layouts and they're very good! I thought I'd share my dedication page here as well:
My BOM will be in shades of greens, rose, mauve, pinks and neutrals as you can see from this intro page. I also just completed this layout for the BOM Challenge 2 to be posted tomorrow on CSD. The photo is the only one I have showing all 4 generations of me at 3 months, my mother, my grandmother and my great grandmother. I'll be giving away my age now, but this photo was taken in July of 1957.
My Book of Me will be shabby to a degree. Not all my pages will have a shabby chic look to them. As I complete pages, I'll share them with you here on this blog.
I also received some fantastic tags from a group of girls in the February Tag swap at Life on the Scrap Beach that are just beautiful. Here they are:
I also have projects to complete for Scrapbooking and Crafting Friends and Scrappers Delight--both of which I am a member of their Design Teams. Whew! I'll get there--just have to get motivated and find some extra time in the day!!
My other projects that have been started and not completed yet are:
An Easter themed Flap Book; a 'green' toilet paper' roll mini album for a swap; a layout of me as an infant; a layout themed "Creative Healing" for the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Manchester NH on April 29th and May 1st. I'm sure I have other projects sitting on the back burner as well, but so far, these are the most important. I just thought I'd share what I've been up to lately.

A Couple of Layouts to Share
I thought I'd share a couple of simple layouts I recently created for some challenges at Creative Scrapbooking Divas.
The first layout was for DT Alecia's event: "Lucky Green". We had to use a true green and the word "Lucky" on it. Here is my take:
And this layout is for DT Luisa's Project 12 challenge. Each month we'll create a layout using a provided sketch if we choose and by the end of the year, we'll have 52 layouts created! I created this layout for the month of February:
And, I'm not sure if I shared my January layout for the same challenge. If not, here it is:
The snowflakes are actual Xmas ornaments that I wasn't using, including the blue felt one--actually I think that came from a card. These are highlights of January.
Thanks for looking!
