It has been FOREVER!

since I've written anything on this blog.  I've been so busy with my job, my grandchildren, and just the everyday things that Life throws at us on a daily basis.

Plus, I've gone back to another passion of mine besides scrapbooking and that is. . .writing.  I took a long hiatus and did nothing by concentrate on the hobby of scrapbooking.  So, last August of 2016, I decided that I was going to become a member of RWA National and join the New England Chapter Romance Writers.  It was the right decision and I'm happy to say that I met with an agent last April who requested a partial--first 3 chapters, a synopsis, and a query letter.  I've been working hard on getting this together so I can finally mail it out to Courtney at Handspun Literary Agency.

Oh, I also couldn't get into eBlogger for days now!  It wasn't recognizing me as the admin of my blogs. Finally, tonight, it worked and I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

So, I just wanted to catch up a little bit and will do my best to share any of the creations I may make in the future.  My daughter Jackie and I will be attending a scrapbook event in October for an entire weekend in Saco.  Can't wait for that one!  We also attended a one day scrapbooking event back in March with Cindy Paradis--the same lady who is doing the one in October called Croptoberfest.

Well, it's late and I want to get back to working on my writing blog.

Thanks for understanding and visiting.

Let's Catch Up--Shall We?

Hello bloggers:

I've been soooo busy!  The weather is getting milder and I'm loving it.  I'm outside as much as I can so my scrapping has been put to the side.   I can't believe that's it's been two weeks since I last posted so I'll do my best to catch you up on what I've been up to.

First of all, I've been making samples of flowers for the bouquets for my daughter's wedding.  She's getting married August 17th so I want five bouquets done by the end of July.  I also have to make 7 boutonnaires.   Of course, with a wedding comes a bridal shower and my other daughter, who's the maid of honor, and I have been busy planning that as well.  I'm having a lot of fun with it too.  The shower is set for June 23rd and we're planning on a garden theme.   We'll have a tent set up outside by the pond that her future in-laws have in their back yard and I'll have paper lanterns hanging along with some whimsical flowers and butterflies.  It's going to be pretty.  I just can't wait!

I've also just finished up some swaps:  The "Green with Envy" Junk Journal swap over at Mini Album Scraps and the "Kitschy Flower Kit" swap over at Your Paper Pantry.   My partner for the junk journals was Evelyn Robinson.  I'll be doing a video of the journal she sent me tomorrow and will post on Youtube over the weekend.   Here's a picture of the one I sent to her.

The theme for the Green with Envy Junk Journal swap was obviously green with some accent colors, but I wanted the journal to be about 80 percent green.  The other requirement was that about 50% of the pages had to be envelopes.  From what I've heard, all the swappers were very pleased with their journals they received.  I know I love mine!

The flower swap over at Your Paper Pantry was a lot of fun too.  We had to put together all kinds of items that we could use to make flowers and we could include handmade and store bought flowers as well.  I loved this swap! Here's a sampling of what I sent to Cari:

I also sent along assorted fabrics, doilies, printed napkins, etc.   If you want to see more, you can go to my YouTube channel and watch the video.  Click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w22Awy8UPUs    I tried uploading it, but it didn't work.

I also want to share what I bought at the Creating Keepsakes Convention that my daughter and I attended in April in Manchester, NH.  As always, I spent more than my budget allowed.  I just couldn't help it!   I think I'm going to do a separate post for that one.

As I mentioned in the beginning of the post, I've also been making paper flower bouquets for my daughter's wedding.  This is what I've come up with so far:

Sorry about the quality.  I was using my newer camera and I'm still trying to get the 'kinks' out of it.

Well.....I think that's about it.   I hope you'll stop by soon and check out my purchases at CKC!

Have a wonderful day my blogger friends.

I've Been Sooooo Busy Creating.....

I'm sorry I've neglected this blog for almost 2 weeks.  I've just been very busy creating items for a craft fair to be held locally this Friday (the 12th).  If I'm not working, I'm creating until almost 2 in the morning!   I thought I'd have alot more done by now but I still have so much more to do.  I have to have everything completed today because I'm working tomorrow and we need to be ready to set up at 7 a.m. on Friday!  So,

I'll be more active on this blog once the fair is over.  I'll be taking lots of pictures of all my creations and will share on this blog soon.  Thanks for understanding!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Testing....

I just downloaded the recent IE version because Mozilla Firefox is crashing everytime I upload a photo to this blog or to any website. I can't even send emails through MF! So, let's see if I can add a photo. Fingers are crossed (even my toes!)

YES!  I am so happy right now!

Can You Help Me with A Computer Problem?

I am so frustrated! I am unable to upload any photos to my blog! As of 9 days ago, I could, but since doing a Disc Cleanup, I have suddenly lost the ability to upload photos to this blog or to any of the Ning sites I belong to. I am able to upload from my camera to my pictures. I'm also able to upload videos to YouTube (at least a few days ago, I could!!). I have researched for HOURS and days to find answers and nothing is working. I've scanned my computer for viruses and everything is okay. Everytime I upload pictures to my blog, Mozilla Firefox crashes! I have the current, updated version of MF. I run Windows XP if that helps. I'm at my wits end and don't know what to do!!! I would so appreciate some computer genius help.

Oh, I also tried to upload photos from Photobucket to this blog,--the good news is that the photos load without MF crashing----BUT----the pictures are too large! How do I resize the images to fit on a 2 column blog?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have had so much trouble uploading photos!

I'm now writing this from my daughter's computer. I thought the issue was with Firefox or Eblogger, but it must be my computer because I was just able to upload a photo. I wanted to upload a photo of my newest mini from my computer but it wouldn't let me.

Okay, so here is a photo of my recent mini for Rhonda over at Life on the Scrap Beach. I hope she enjoys it. This is a quick post as I'm off to work.

And We Have A Winner!!

I want to thank the ladies who stopped by my blog to celebrate with me in my first year of blogging. I appreciate you taking the time to post about your Firsts--they were all a pleasure to read and helped me to get to know you better. I went to Random Generator and this is the number that came up................................

#2---Dawn Edwards! Congratulations!

I had to take a photo of the result because the web wouldn't let me copy the image of the result.

Thanks, ladies, for joining in on the fun! Have a great day!!
